SV Restless

Grinding an edge to the marked line. I was young and foolish, and notice that I wasn't wearing safety glasses in this shot, although I usually did. Don't try this at home without safety glasses. Even with safety glasses and a face shield, I still got pretty adept at taking steel grit out of my eyes with a sterilized sewing needle. Went through a total of about 350 grinding discs all told, mostly 9" and 4 1/2". The smaller grinders are a great convenience, and it's tempting to use them for everything, but you get more work done faster with the big one. This is a 4 1/2" Metabo, which is a very good tool, but my 9" Milwaukee is the only hand electric tool that lasted the entire length of the project... close to 30 years and still going.
